Christmas Lights

The countdown is officially on. I feel like I'm scrambling in my mind. Two more days until California. Husband is at home today doing our laundry. How nice is that? Very I know. Last week when I was staying at home for a few days working hard and heavy on the kitchen project I found this in the refrigerator after he left. Yes, he knows me well!!

On the way home from church yesterday husband wanted to take me to Hobby Town. I had never been there before. Basically it's a dream shop for anyone who likes model trains. They had a train set up  with this tiny little town and I took some pictures. They are so detailed. I could just stand there and look forever. The one little shop even had a cool digital light up sign. It was quite the master piece.

I had to take this picture so you could see the scale. This little village even has its own giant. :)

Someday when we have kids we want to get one to go around our christmas tree. Oh, and for those of you out there that like to think they know things. lol! You know who you are! No, we are not preggo. :)

Yesterday I convinced husband to take a walk with me when it got dark. It was refreshing in the chilly air. Days like yesterday remind me (if I ever forgot) why I love living in Texas and in the city.

Almsot all the trees along the river look like this. Uh huh!

I know sometimes with all the Christmas music you hear EVERYWHERE you can get a little burned out by the time Christmas actually arrives. You can only listen to frosty the snowman so many times you know. But there are a few that I never tire of hearing. In case you haven't discovered Trans Siberian Orchestra than please come out of your cave hole and experience this magic. Here's a sample for you. I can listen to this a lot!

Also I love Coldplay's christmas song called Christmas Lights. Kind of sad but I love music and the melody and well, I just love Coldplay.

What are some of your favorite Christmas songs or artists? I'd love to hear just leave me a comment below.

Well peoples, I'm out.
Thank you so much to those who have been leaving me comments. Super encouraging to get some feedback occasionally.

  2. I like pretty much anything good, as long as it's not something that everyone else does. Lol! Btw, I love the Trans-Siberian Orchestra :)

  4. You're right. Regular Christmas music is overplayed.

Love TSO. I went to one of their shows once, and it was fabulous. Their light show is a bit over the top, but really adds to the experience. It's almost like it's part of the music. Wizards In Winter, A Mad Russian's Christmas, Christmas Eve/ Sarajevo 12/24, and Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness) are a few of my favorites. Have you read the Christmas stories that go with the songs? The songs meant a lot more to me after I read the stories that went with them. It's pretty cool.

Love "Christmas Lights." Love Coldplay. 'Nuff said.

Chanticleer has some really beautiful Christmas stuff. Josh Groban has a nice Christmas album even if it's a bit cliche.
